Jenson Button - 9th place, 2 points - 8/10
While Alonso had the headline result for McLaren, Button gained ten places in the race compared to seven for his team-mate. The Briton's start was excellent as he climbed from 19th on the grid to run 11th at the end of the opening lap, negating his traffic problems from qualifying. Already running in the top ten after his final stop, Button's approach became less attacking as he nursed his tyres for a spell before chasing down Perez late on, closing an eight second gap to three seconds at the flag.
