Jolyon Palmer - 13th place - 5.5/10
A good qualifying performance was undone by a poor first stint for Palmer, and it could prove costly at a crucial time of the season. Lost out to Nasr on the opening lap and then saw Grosjean, Magnussen and Perez all pass him on the second lap. It was a crucial spell, as Palmer spent much of the race stuck behind his team-mate but struggling to pass. Overheated his tyres in the fight but didn't want to risk contact with a move and eventually faded in the closing laps.
