If Rosberg had been fortuitous in the first two races after the summer break, Singapore was one of his finest performances. Took pole position by over half a second from Ricciardo - and a massive 0.7s from Hamilton - and what could have been a straightforward win was thrown into doubt by late strategy changes which left him under threat from a closing Ricciardo on fresh tyres. Rosberg judged his pace beautifully on old rubber to beat the Red Bull by just 0.488s and regain the championship lead.
