After a run of difficult races, Rosberg delivered at a new circuit in Baku when Hamilton cracked. A crash in Q3 saw Hamilton start from 10th on the grid and struggle with engine modes in the race, but Rosberg took pole position and eased to victory as his team-mate finished fifth, extending his advantage to 24 points heading to one of his strongest tracks in Austria.
