He suffered from a lack of grip and had no chance of joining Nico in Q3 on Saturday. But on Sunday, he got past his team mate on lap one. While he couldn’t keep up with the pace of Fernando Alonso, he ran ninth, then eighth with a lengthy stint on the ultra-softs. A discreet but solid showing from Carlos who scored four valuable points as Renault bids to hold on to fourth place in the Constructors' championship.
