Valtteri had a low-profile during his Marina Bay weekend. Constantly in the rears to his team leader, he was 0.7s slower on their respective best Q3 laps. And on Sunday, he wasn’t much of a wingman. Starting fourth, he finished fourth as he managed to hold off Räikkönen and Ricciardo with tyres that had seen better days. He finished 51 seconds down from Hamilton and his best lap was 1.8s slower than Lewis’. A low-key performance for the Finn, who may soon feel Esteban Ocon breathing down his neck.
