Some would simply argue he was in the way. Others would retort that he was just doing his job and didn’t have to move aside, even for a much, much faster driver. But the move on Hartley, for which he was sanctioned, and the episode with Perez, even though the Mexican accepted the blame for the incident, beggars the question. Does Sergey Sirotkin deserve to be among the elite?
