F1i's Driver Ratings for the 2019 Brazilian GP

Kevin Magnussen (P11): 7.5/10
Like his team mate, Kevin Magnussen had been delighted with Haas' qualifying performance which saw both cars reach the top ten pole shoot-out round for the first time since May. Unfortunately for the Dane, it all went rather massively wrong for him at the start where he was tapped into a spin by an overly ambitious Daniel Ricciardo which dropped him all the way to the back of the field and left him contending with front wing damage. Whatever its short-run pace, the VF-19 continues to struggle in race trim and Magnussen seemed unable to make much forward progress from there, and was lapped by the race leaders on lap 27. The first safety car enabled him to undo that misfortune, but he was still in 16th place with just a dozen laps remaining when the race restarted. Armed with a new set of soft tyres, Magnussen was able to rediscover that qualifying pace and put it to exemplary use, aided by the second safety car for the Ferrari implosion on lap 66. With others struggling on worn tyres he was able to briefly inject himself into the points before losing out on the final lap to Daniil Kvyat, much to his annoyance.
