F1i's Driver Ratings for the 2019 Brazilian GP

Kimi Raikkonen (P4, 12 pts): 8/10
If it had been a dry spell for Alfa Romeo as a whole, it had surely been even worse for Kimi Raikkonen who hadn't been in the points since he finished in seventh place at Hungary before the summer break. That might explain the sense of purpose to the Finn coming into the weekend, where he was consistently quicker than his team mate on Friday. If he momentarily faltered in FP3, it was just a blip as Raikkonen made it through to the final round of qualifying a couple of hours later and duly started Sunday's race from a promising eighth place. With the exception of the first round pit stop, that's where he spent the majority of the first 47 laps of the race itself. His second pit stop put him a lap down from the leaders on the short Interlagos circuit, but the safety car came to his aid and Kimi didn't squander the gift, safeguarding his position as others - Magnussen, Leclerc, Vettel and Albon in the final laps - suffered their various misfortunes and left the Alfa popping up to cross the line in fifth place, which was converted to fourth once Lewis Hamilton's five-second penalty was confirmed. It's Raikkonen's best result since he moved to Alfa Romeo at the start of the season, with last year's race here in Brazil having been his final podium for Ferrari.
