Sergio Perez - 17th place - 8/10
A late retirement was harsh on Perez, who had recovered from a suspension failure in qualifying in impressive fashion. Started from 16th after Saturday’s problems but was 11th by the end of the opening lap as his opening stint on ultrasofts put him in the hunt for points. Looked after his tyres much better than team-mate Hulkenberg - moving ahead of the man who started second after 24 laps. Switched to softs when the safety car was deployed and was comfortably running to the end in eighth place - just failing to stay within five seconds of Grosjean which would have brought him seventh - when a complete brake failure at Turn 3 on the penultimate lap ended his recovery.
