Jenson Button - 6th place, 8 points - 9/10
So good to see a McLaren fighting at the front - at least for a spell - and Button had a good enough car to defend properly in the opening laps. A good start took him ahead of Nico Hulkenberg into second place and he held off Raikkonen with relative ease for the first six laps before his ultrasofts started to drop off and the Ferrari’s supersoft advantage told. Pulled decisive overtaking moves when required and managed his tyres well as Button and McLaren genuinely looked the fourth quickest driver and team package over the race distance.
