2016 Austrian Grand Prix - Driver ratings

Motor Racing - Formula One World Championship - Austrian Grand Prix - Practice Day - Spielberg, Austria

Romain Grosjean - 7th place, 6 points - 8/10

When Haas gets it together, Grosjean is there to deliver the points and so it proved on Sunday. Starting down 13th, Grosjean’s opening lap was nothing special but his first stint on the supersoft tyres saw him rise as high as fifth at one point. Was eighth when Sebastian Vettel’s failure brought out the safety car, allowing him to pit and rejoin in the top ten. Once with points to hold on to, Grosjean latched on to the back of Button and chased the McLaren for the second half of the race, knowing he had a five-second time penalty to come for forgetting to hit the pit lane limiter behind the safety car. Had just put 5.1s between himself and Sergio Perez with two laps to go before the Force India retired.
