Nico Hulkenberg - DNF - 5/10
A race Hulkenberg will be desperate to forget. Starting from second presented him with a chance of a really strong result but lost out to Button off the line and went backwards for the rest of the first stint, dropping to eighth by lap seven. High tyre wear was to blame as Hulkenberg couldn’t keep them alive for more than three or four laps, while team-mate Perez was climbing through the field in the same car. Eventually a brake problem manifested itself in the form of a severe vibration which led Hulkenberg to retire having plummeted to 17th place.
