Sebastian Vettel - DNF - 7/10
Vettel hadn’t done much wrong in the first stint, recovering from ninth on the grid to sixth before the first pit stops and then to lead after everyone else had pitted. Running on the supersoft tyre, Ferrari was trying to push the first stint as long as possible but it proved to be too long as Vettel’s right rear tyre spectacularly failed on the pit straight, eliminating him from the race.
