Valtteri Bottas - 9th place, 2 points - 7/10
A surprisingly uncompetitive weekend for Williams has been attributed to it struggling with the new asphalt at the Red Bull Ring, and Bottas was unable to keep his tyres alive to make a one-stop strategy work. Ran a strong sixth in the second stint despite a poor first lap, but was under pressure from Button in the middle part of the race and switched to supersofts with 20 laps to go. It was a long stint on that compound and although Bottas rose from 13th to 10th he was under pressure from Wehrlein all the way to the flag.
