Sergio Perez (P8, 4 pts): 8/10
Considering his experience and undoubted talent, it's been strange to see Serio Perez come out second best to his best to his youthful team mate when it comes to qualifying. It was the same story in Abu Dhabi, and he started from 14th place on Sunday but made immediate progress, moving into the top ten by the end of the first lap in part thanks to the Hulkenberg/Grosjean incident at turn 9. He was never out of the points again all afternoon, extending his first stint to lap 26 to ensure he had enough of a margin to pit and come back out again in ninth. He picked up another place shortly after and then ran to the finish in a solid eighth albeit frustrated not to be able to make a move on Charles Leclerc in the closing laps. Despite Hulkenberg's early exit, Perez missed out on 'best of the rest' status to the German in the drivers standings by seven points.
