Esteban Ocon (Retired): 7/10
Esteban Ocon finished off his tenure at Force India by once again outclassing his team mate Sergio Perez in qualifying with ninth place, and he made the most of the opening lap incidents to rise to sixth before a sluggish pit stop undid all his good work and dumped him back down to the rear of the field. He didn't give up hope and kept plugging away through difficult traffic, and he had made his way back up to ninth by the time that his engine let go and forced him out of the race. Even so, it was a good performance by the Frenchman, making up for what happened last time out in Brazil. He had another clash with Max Verstappen again this week, but despite some contact they got away with it and this time there were no fisticuffs in parc ferme to the relief of all concerned. All that said, another pointless race was a disappointing way for Ocon to finish the season after amassing only four points from the final seven races of 2018.
