Fernando Alonso - 13th place - 5.5/10
For once it was a mistake from Alonso which cost him the chance of points, and he will be annoyed having qualified in the top ten as he had something to defend. The first pit stop cost him a place to Massa and he endured a frustrating spell behind the Williams after fitting slicks. Still running tenth, a spectacular spin at Turn 1 - which also included slight contact with the barrier - saw Alonso drop to 13th and he also needed to pit again to make it to the end. Wanted McLaren to take more risks with strategy, but his own error was the bigger one.
