Slightly tough to gauge the performance of the Haas drivers as the team suffered heavily with a number of issues, some of which were slightly bizarre. Haas opted to pit both drivers immediately for intermediate tyres once the Safety Car was brought in but Gutierrez suffered a slow stop, leaving him last on the road. Then his second stop featured a late call as Haas was hampered by a complete loss of power in its garage. Without the raw pace to recover, he was left languishing far from the points.
