Carlos Sainz - 8th place, 4 points - 7/10
Seventh on the grid was a good job by Sainz and he showed it was where the car deserved to be by holding that position for the first half of the race. Moved up to sixth for a few laps after Raikkonen made an error at Turn 1, but Sainz then followed suit to drop to eighth behind the Ferrari and Hulkenberg. It was a mistake which cost him ten seconds but his pace from then on suggested he would have been likely to lose out to Raikkonen anyway. A shame, as the rest of his weekend had been impressive.
