Nico Hulkenberg (P10, 1 pt): 7/10
It was good to see Renault back on form again after a disappointing outing in Austria. Nico Hulkenberg and Daniel Ricciardo looked evenly matched throughout the build-up to the race, both men successfully getting through to the final round of qualifying on Saturday afternoon with the Australian just getting the edge in Q3. Hulkenberg gained a position from Alexander Albon at the start of the race, but suffered by making an early pit stop on lap 13. He then lost out at the restart following a short safety car period when Sergio Perez ran into the back of him; although he escaped any damage from the incident it still cost him two places. Later in the race the Renault briefly went into 'limp mode' which again cost him position. Happily he did manage to get back into the points on the penultimate lap - ironically by reprising his first lap pass on Albon.
