Sebastian Vettel (P16): 5/10
Sebastian Vettel's 2019 championship hopes were already fading fast even before the British Grand Prix. Now it's hard to see any way back into contention for the four-time world champion, and to compound Vettel's woes his young team mate is now only three points behind him in the standings. Charles Leclerc was faster than Vettel in every session over the weekend, and Vettel really struggled to get the best out of his SF90 in qualifying and ended up a painful six tenths slower than Leclerc in Q3. He looked in better form on Sunday and quickly got the better of Pierre Gasly, but his thrilling battle with Max Verstappen ended in disaster on lap 37 when he ran into the back of the Red Bull. Vettel admitted that he had misread the situation, and it meant any hopes of contending for the podium were dashed as a return to pit lane for a new front wing left him crawling home in 16th place - behind a Williams, of all things.
