Lando Norris (P6, 8 pts): 8/10
Lando Norris was the star of the show in Australia when he got a McLaren into the final round of qualifying. He did it again this week (as did his team mate Carlos Sainz) but this time it already felt like business as usual - that's how quick we are to take things for granted in this sport. He unfortunately lost out on points in Melbourne, and a messy start to Sunday's race suggested the same sad fate lay in store again in Bahrain. Instead, Norris showed real grit and determination as he forged his way back to sixth place with a little help from a late Renault double retirement. Gil de Ferran declared the performance 'nothing short of spectacular' which might be just a little hyperbole from the McLaren sporting director, but on the whole we'd rather tend to agree with the sentiment.
