Charles Leclerc (P3, Pole, Fastest lap, 16 pts): 9.5/10
There's no question that Ferrari has a genuine star on their hands in the form of young Charles Leclerc. He had pretty much the perfect weekend, topping two of the three practice sessions and then sweeping all three rounds of qualifying on Saturday to secure his first ever Formula 1 pole position. His one error of the weekend - and pretty much the sole reason we couldn't give him a full ten-out-of-ten in the ratings - was that sluggish start which saw him drop to third place behind Sebastian Vettel and Valtteri Bottas by turn 1. He did manage to hold off Lewis Hamilton, and four laps later he had repaired all the damage. He was back in front and building a formidable lead that all-but assured victory until his engine decided not to go the distance. It wasn't just Tifosi hearts but pretty much those of every true motorsport fan around the world that broke when he was denied what would have been an absolutely fairytale triumph.
