Kevin Magnussen (P13): 6.5/10
Qualifying in a mighty sixth place for the Bahrain Grand Prix was the highlight of Kevin Magnussen's weekend. After that, the race itself went downhill rather fast for Haas. With his team mate soon retiring due to car damage, the team's hopes rested on Magnussen but he was busy going backwards down the running order, losing pretty much every on-track battle in the process as he attempted what proved to be a misguided one-stop strategy. "It's a little unbelievable to be able to qualify sixth, best-of-the-rest, then be so off in the race like we were," the Dane commented afterwards. He was down in 15th place before the two Renaults retired with reliability issues to bump him back up to 13th, but that was still very unlucky for Magnussen who failed to add to the eight points he earned in Melbourne.
