Daniel Ricciardo (Retired, L53): 5.5/10
After a frustrating home race in Melbourne, Daniel Ricciardo needed to rebuild his confidence by showing what he could do in Bahrain. Instead he seemed to spend much of the weekend in his team mate's shadow, which is a rather worrying sign for the Australian's prospects in 2019. He made the most of starting the race from tenth on the grid and plugged all the way up to second at one point by running an extended first stint, only to drop way back again with his first stop. He survived an accidental clash with his team mate and was still hoping to finish in the top ten and earn his first points for Renault when the electronics of the R.S.19 abruptly cut out with four laps to go to deny him even this consolation.
