F1i's Driver Ratings for the 2019 Bahrain GP

Lance Stroll (CDN) Racing Point F1 Team RP19 sends sparks flying at the start of the race.

Lance Stroll (P14): 4.5/10
Lance Stroll was a bit of an unexpected star in the first Grand Prix of the season in Australia. That wasn't the case again this week in Bahrain, unfortunately. After struggling for pace in Friday's practice sessions, the Racing Point driver was unable to dodge elimination in Q1 on Saturday which meant he started from 18th on the grid, from where he immediately clashed with Haas' Romain Grosjean which sent him to pit lane for a new front wing. After trailing around at the back for the remainder of the first stint, fresh tyres and trouble for those ahead gradually helped him move his way forward, but he was a long way out of the points by the time the cars crossed the finish line. While the car wasn't great this week, his team mate did a lot more with it so all-in-all this was a rather undistinguished outing for the Canadian.
