F1i's Driver Ratings for the 2019 Azerbaijan GP

Alexander Albon (P11): 7/10
It's a shame that Alexander Albon missed out on getting any points in Baku. He was in the top ten in Friday's sole practice session and again in FP3, but lost his way somewhat in qualifying and failed to join his team mate in progressing to the pole shoot-out round. Assorted penalties for those ahead of him on the grid meant he started from 11th place, and 100 minutes later that's also exactly where he finished. He'd tapped the wall in turn 1 at the start, and delaying his pit stop to lap 12 had dropped him all the way to the back of the field which left him too much ground to recover. That said, the 23-year-old Thai-British driver kept his nose clean and enjoyed himself making some entertaining passes on his midfield rivals thanks to the obliging Baku City Circuit. "I had some fun out there, that's the main thing!" he acknowledged afterwards.
