F1i's Driver Ratings for the 2019 Azerbaijan GP

Sebastian Vettel (P3, 15 pts): 8/10
The moustache might have gone, but the old Sebastian Vettel still seems strangely missing in action at the moment. Ferrari came into the weekend convinced that they had a big advantage in terms of pace over their Mercedes rivals. That's also the way it looked in practice - although it was Leclerc who was on top, and Vettel didn't seem able to match his young team mate. Of course, the Monegasque's accident in Q2 meant that Vettel came out in top in qualifying, but by now the four-time world champion had dropped two tenths off the pace of the Silver Arrows. Any hopes that the situation might be different in race trim soon faded away after a terrible first stint on soft tyres for Vettel, but things perked up after that and he said it was "fun driving today" once he got onto the medium compound. He'll be pleased to have finished ahead of Leclerc, but perhaps irked to once again be outshone by the youngster who got all the plaudits from fans and pundits.
