Pierre Gasly (P10, 1 pt): 6/10
Unfortunately it seems that Pierre Gasly's star is on the wane again, and there was little in the way of a boost for him at his home Grand Prix this weekend where he was around four tenths slower than his Red Bull team mate on Friday. On the bright side he did make it all the way into Q3 in qualifying, albeit at the cost of having to start the race itself on soft compound tyres, making him one of only two drivers on the grid to do so. He did the best he could with the cards he had been dealt, and made the tyres last an impressive 17 laps running up in eighth. However the inevitable pit stop bounced him all the way back down to 15th from which he laboured to recover for the rest of the day. He crossed the line in 11th place, seemingly missing out on the points, but was promoted one place when Daniel Ricciardo was subsequently penalised. Even so, scraping a single point while Verstappen spent the whole time up in fourth is not likely to be a good look for Gasly when Helmut Marko is reviewing the accounts on Monday.
