Pascal Wehrlein - 13th place - 8.5/10
This was somewhat of a watershed moment for Manor as it outqualified and outraced other midfield teams purely on pace. Wehrlein showed why Mercedes rates him so highly with an impressive qualifying lap which left him just 0.2s shy of Q2. Having struggled with tyre degradation in Australia, the German was keeping expectations low heading in to the race but was able to fight throughout. The sight of a Manor puling overtaking moves was great to see and although he couldn’t find a way past Ericsson in the closing laps Wehrlein showed he will get the most out of this car.
