Sergio Perez - 16th place - 6/10
The sight of the two Force Indias scrapping over 15th place suggested a lack of pace from the car in Bahrain, but the lowly positions were due to front wing damage for both cars. While Fernley cleared Hulkenberg of blame for his first lap incident, he felt Perez was largely at fault for hitting Carlos Sainz at the start of the next lap, giving the Toro Rosso a puncture in the process. Out of position then, Perez could make no progress through a competitive midfield.
