Kevin Magnussen - 11th place - 8/10
A case of what might have been for Magnussen, who was hit by a severe penalty on Friday evening which had a big impact on his race. The Dane was forced to start from the pit lane having failed to stop to be weighed at the end of FP2, believing the signal to be for Kvyat ahead of him. As Magnussen pointed out afterwards, the penalty seems extreme when there would be no penalty if he stopped at the weighbridge and was found to be underweight. Starting from the pit lane meant he couldn’t really take advantage of the first lap drama but drove well to get close to the points.
