Lewis Hamilton (P1, 25 pts): 8.5/10
Another weekend where Lewis Hamilton was arguably not the best driver, and yet once again the five-time world champion comes up with the goods when it comes to hoovering up those crucial points by ensuring he's right there to take advantage when opportunities arise. This time it was wheel-spin for his team mate Valtteri Bottas that allowed Hamilton to jump into the lead, after a weekend that had been looking like rather a struggle for the Briton up to that point despite his unequaled track record in Shanghai. Securing victory in the 1,000th F1 Grand Prix will make Hamilton a pub trivia question for years to come, but it's surely the third successive Silver Arrows 1-2 of 2019 that's the more important statistic. And becoming only the second driver to lead 4,000 race laps in his career is rather nice, too.
