F1i's Driver Ratings for the 2019 Chinese GP

Daniil Kvyat (P19, Retired - Lap 41): 4.5/10
The weekend started well for Daniil Kvyat with a strong showing in first practice, but things went downhill from there and he was slower than his rookie team mate in both FP2 and FP3. He rallied in qualifying to line up in 11th place on the grid but immediately slid into contact with the two McLarens at the start, earning himself a penalty with which he thoroughly disagreed. More seriously, the damaged Toro Rosso ended up retiring from the race on lap 41. Overall it's the sort of rash, accident-prone Kvyat we used to see in F1 which cost him his original race seat - let's hope history isn't repeating itself again in 2019.
