F1i's Driver Ratings for the 2019 Chinese GP

Antonio Giovinazzi (P15): 6.0/10
Antonio Giovinazzi's weekend was on the backfoot even before it started, with a chronic power unit issue forcing him to sit out all of Friday's first practice. He did finally get out in the afternoon, but the fact that he only managed to go faster than the plodding Williams cars showed just how behind the curve he'd been left by the lost track time. And then the gremlins returned to shut him out of qualifying, leaving him starting from the back of the grid. All in all it's a miracle that the Alfa Romeo lasted a full 56 laps on Sunday, but even the attempt to run a different strategy failed to pay off. Rather a weekend to forget, but none of it was the Italian's fault.
