F1i's Driver Ratings for the 2019 Chinese GP

George Russell (P16): 6.0/10
Once again, George Russell came out as the best of the Williams team mates this weekend, although significantly Robert Kubica did manage to beat him in FP1. And once again that's pretty much the only positive thing the rookie gets to take away from his first outing in Shanghai, with the FW42 looking even slower compared to the rest of the field than it did in Melbourne and Bahrain. You do have to give it credit for reliability at least - the Williams is yet to retire this season, although it's also not finished on the lead lap - and Russell gets some extra marks for keeping his nose clean and having another solid weekend free of the mistakes you'd expect from such a new arrival on the F1 scene.
