Alexander Albon (P10, 1 pt): 8.5/10
If you want our recommendation for 'Driver of the Day' then it would have to be Toro Rosso's rookie star Alexander Albon. He started from pit lane in a brand new STR14 and pulled off a nice one-stop strategic gamble to climb steadily and confidently up the positions to duly claim a seriously unlikely championship point by finishing in tenth place. It really was top notch stuff. But in terms of his weekend rating, we have to take some marks off because it was his fault that the car was left in pieces in the first place by that unnecessary accident in FP3. Still, that's why they call them 'rookie mistakes' - and it shouldn't detract from a fabulous recovery in the race itself.
