Dan Gurney and AJ Foyt were recently reunited with their 1967 Le Mans winning Ford Mark IV.
The two motorsport legends took the opportunity to share their colorful memories of the milestone event which capped the fiery Ford-Ferrari battle at the Circuit de la Sarthe, and which remains the only all-American win in Le Mans history.
For Gurney, June 10 1967 was the beginning of an extraordinary week which saw the American win Le Mans before heading to Spa to win the Belgian Grand Prix driving his Eagle the following Sunday!
"One of my better weeks at the office," Gurney joked when recalling the unforgettable triumphs.
