When just a single win did if for Keke

Keke Rosberg won just one race in his championship year, the Swiss Grand Prix held on this day in 1982.

Motor racing was still covered by an outright ban in Switzerland at the time, enforced by the country after the 1955 Le Mans disaster.

It's F1 event was therefore held in France, at Dijon-Prenois, where Rosberg's Williams overhauled Renault's Alain Prost with just two laps to go, clinching his first Grand Prix win and setting himself up nicely for the world title.
