Lewis Hamilton says he's been completely reenergised by his summer break, which he's spent on the second stint of his life-changing tour of Africa.
“These past two weeks have been some of the best days of my entire life," he wrote on Instagram this week.
“I’m not the same man I was before this trip," he added. "All the beauty, love, and peacefulness I experienced has me feeling fully transformed.
"No amount of photos could capture how I’m feeling now and what I’m trying to say. Just know, where words fall short emotions run deep.
"I connected with my roots and my history and I feel my ancestors with me now stronger than I ever have before. Namibia, Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania thank you.
"To the people here, the nature and the wildlife thank you. We were welcomed to each beautiful place we visited. We were treated like family.
"To my brothers who joined me on this journey, thank you. I know we’ll be talking about this forever.”
While the seven-time world champion might say that photos can't do justice to his experience, he's certainly done his best with some fine pictures to illustrate his comments and we have to admit we're a bit jealous.
Now the question will be whether Hamilton can bring back this new lease of life to the track when F1 reconvenes at Spa-Francorchamps in a little over a week.
After a troubled start to the season, Hamilton went into the break on the back of five consecutive podiums as the Silver Arrows started to take flight once more.
