Triple Le Mans 24 Hours winner and 2012 world endurance champion André Lotterer is celebrating his 35th birthday on this date. The German ace also made a one-off appearance in Formula One when he replaced Kamui Kobayashi at Caterham for the 2014 Belgian Grand Prix. Although Lotterer’s race only lasted one lap due to a mechanical issue, the ‘rookie’ still managed to impress in qualifying when he outpaced team-mate Marcus Ericsson by nearly one second.
