Flash-back to 1981 and to the days when teams could test at will all year long. Ferrari enjoyed the benefit of having its own test facility at Fiorano of course, right in the back yard of the Scuderia's factory.

Gilles Villeneuve and Didier Pironi are seen here getting briefed by designer Mauro Forghieri whose 126CK was the team's first turbo car. Heavy and cumbersome, with a turbo lag that lasted about a whole week, Villeneuve still worked two miracles with this beast during the season, winning successively in Spain and Monaco.
