Formula 1's final round in Malaysia will likely be remembered for the first of many merit based triumphs for Max Verstappen. The 20-year-old swash-buckled past Lewis early on in the race and the championship leader was left to chase, as was arch-rival Sebastian Vettel. F1i ranks and reviews the action from Sepang.

Kimi has so far covered roughly 300 meters in the first two races of  Asian swing. With a spot on row one,  things were looking good Iceman until the gremlins struck. The crowd grumbled and hopes in Maranello shrank. He could have challenged Lewis and given his team mate a hand late in the affair, but it wasn’t meant to be.
