Norris unveils British GP helmet designed by 6-year-old fan!

.

McLaren's Lando Norris unveiled the special British Grand Prix helmet design that he will be using this weekend at Silverstone.

Earlier this month, Norris announced a competition and encouraged fans to send in their designs, promising to choose his favourite scheme for his home race this weekend.

Surprisingly, the 20-year-old chose to honour the efforts of one of his younger supporters, six-year-old Eva, who sketched a colorful and fun livery that went straight to Norris' heart.

"This is from Eva," Norris said in a short video published on Twitch. "Eva is six years old, her dad sent in her design.

"It just reminds me a lot of when I was younger, scribbling away and coming up with cool things. It's very original, there's none of this design stuff trying to make it look all glitz and glamoury.

"I love it. There's a lot of white but at the same time, I think it's really cute. I like the colours and it's very original. I'm going to be wearing it all weekend, wet or dry.

"Thanks to everyone else who sent in their designs as well. Hopefully, in some other races, we can do some more of this and more competitions."

Norris' choice has certainly made Eva's day, but will the young fan's lid design make Lando's Sunday?
