Jules Bianchi and his grandfather Mauro once shared driving duties aboard a vintage Alpine-Renault during a special celebration. Mauro used to be a works driver for the French manufacturer before hanging up helmet when his brother Lucien passed away in a crash at the 1969 Le Mans Test Day. Although the scar had never healed, Mauro still gave Jules his blessing to compete when his grandson’s talent became evident. Alas, the latest Bianchi racing star also met with a tragic fate. Ciao Jules.
