Kimi Raikkonen only had 23 races in single-seaters under his belt when he made his Formula One debut aged 21 at the 2001 Australian Grand Prix with Sauber. Some actually thought the Finn was too inexperienced to be competing in the top flight and the FIA was even reluctant to grant Raikkonen his Super Licence. Any doubts about the youngster were quickly dismissed though, as Raikkonen went on to finish sixth and score a point on debut. The rest, as they say, is history.
