Between the lines at the Belgian Grand Prix

Motor Racing - Formula One World Championship - Belgian Grand Prix - Preparation Day - Spa Francorchamps, Belgium

Lewis Hamilton

The Question: Lewis, you have been seen in the social media, many pictures of your maybe new way of life. What do you think, do you think you can arrive at the races more relaxed, it helps you to develop even better work? Or in the future, you can charge some price?

What Lewis said:

LH: I don’t really have a new way of life. This is what I’ve sort of been doing... it’s just more visible to you, that’s about it. It’s been working quite well the last couple of years.

What he might have meant to say:

LH: Hmmmm… lemme see, I’m a 30-year-old world champion who has just signed a $100m dollar contract. I’m at the top of my game, I’m good looking, richer than God and have fabulous hair. Rock stars, Hollywood starlets and supermodels want to hang out with me – on yachts, in bikinis. But no, I shall shun all of that venal worldliness and devote my life to a hermetic existence of devotion to the racing arts. Are you friggin’ mental? – it’s Rihanna, dude.
