Fernando Alonso: “It was a very frustrating, very long day. From 7 a.m., waiting for the uncertain weather conditions and it was the same for the fans and the viewers on television. Hopefully tomorrow we recover and we put on a good show for everyone and we enjoy the day a little bit more than today.
"I feel happy, I feel confident in the car, and it seems that we are a little bit more competitive in this circuit compared to previous races. We were P6 in the morning on the very first run, and then we decide not to run anymore to save some wet tyres for qualifying. So hopefully this will pay off tomorrow and we can be in the top 10."
Jenson Button: “It was the right thing to do [to postpone qualifying]. Practice this morning was initially okay and then it got very wet and nobody could run because it was too wet, too much aquaplaning and you’re not in control at all. I think this afternoon it was the right thing to do. Maybe if we’d decided to do it three hours earlier it would have been better for the fans in one respect, but also we wanted to get out there and drive and put on a good show for the fans so delaying it every half an hour wasn’t a lot of fun, I’m sure for the fans, but hopefully they’ll be back tomorrow.
