This one goes a little further back in history as it's based on the mighty Ford Mark IV which won Le Mans in 1967 with Dan Gurney and AJ Foyt. Perhaps a bit subdued for a modern F1 car.
Henri Pescarolo and Graham Hill's win at Le Mans with Matra in 1972 was a hugely popular one. The only thing that would be wrong with this car racing in this livery would be its sound, for nothing rivaled the symphony of the Matra engine.
This design based on the winning 1998 Porsche 911 GT1 is almost twenty-years-old but actually looks quite modern. Would definitely work for us.
